The extra height gives an internal depth of 72 cm or 28 inches and the versatility of the mesh allows you to easily secure your load with straps or ropes threaded through the mesh. The fold down tailgate makes loading and unloading as easy as possible while also covering the built in rear lights which protects them from accidental damage while the tailgate is down. A common question we are asked is ‘Can the mesh sides be removed?’ The answer is yes they can, but the sides are held in with 2 bolts in each corner. You would need to remove the bolts to remove sides but it is possible to do. (You must refit and tighten the bolts if you refit the mesh sides). Looking Back at Where it all Began 7th March 2019 when our very first delivery of trailers arrived from Poland. Matt took 2 days off work, we borrowed a forklift and driver, called on an old friend for some muscle and quickly realised we didn’t have nearly enough storage space for the stock that had arrived. So we called on as many of our friends as we could find to help move and store trailers. Without those friends we’d have been in big trouble. They know who they are are we will never forget the support we got from so many great people.Originally South West Trailers UK was only intended to be a side line business, but it soon became clear that actually the business was capable of so much more.1 year later, on 1st March 2020, Matt gave up his job of 8 years and took on the role of running the business full time. And then…..we went in to lock down.But here we are, over 5 years since that first lorry load and we’re still growing.
